SP volleyball ends season at Senatobia with 3-0 loss

The South Panola volleyball teams were defeated by Senatobia Thursday evening, closing the season for the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Tiger varsity lost their match in three sets with scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-13. Junior varsity fell in their match 2-1, with the Lady Tigers pulling out a 26-24 win in the second set.
Nicole Rensink started the set for South Panola by serving an ace. Both teams struggled to gain more than rally points.
After serving through the order, Senatobia took off with the lead as the Lady Tigers trailed by five. South Panola managed to close the gap after a four point serve by Kia Coleman, but fell just shy of the win, 25-22.
Senatobia led the set with a four point serve including three aces. South Panola fought for points but were unable to stop Senatobia from taking the second set 25-16.
Rensink took the first serve of the third set, serving up another ace. Rensink and Teddera Patton saved a volley for the point.
The Lady Tigers continued the rally scoring, but fell behind after the second serve. The Lady Tigers were unable to catch up with Senatobia’s 11-point lead at the end of the serve order. Senatobia rallied two more points for the win, 25-13.

South Panola junior varsity struggled in their first set as they were unable to keep up with Senatobia’s scoring. Senatobia took the first set 25-16. The Lady Tigers came back for blood in the second set.
Patton and Madison Upton served aces to Senatobia. Multiple saves by South Panola kept the volley alive allowing the Lady Tigers a change to claim the points. Destiny Rudd served two aces as well two more points for the 26-24 win.
The Lady Tigers started the second set with Anna Adams serving an ace. Senatobia quickly took the lead reaching 15 points during the fifth serve.
The Lady Tigers took a devastating final loss, 15-5, as they closed the season.
