Battle of the Badges Winners

A competition between Panola County Sheriff’s Department and Batesville Police and Fire Departments resulted in 158 units of blood collected and 474 lives saved according to Jennifer Hudson with Mississippi Blood Services. Hudson, (second from left) was on hand Thursday to present Sheriff Dennis Darby (holding trophy) with a Battle of the Badges Trophy and to congratulate other participating agencies for their efforts. Also present for the presentation were (from left) Nita Murphree with BPD, Hudson, Darby, SO Administrator Robbie Haley, BPD Captain Clyde Estridge and Chief Deputy Chris Franklin.
