Man held over for grand jury after city court appearance

A Batesville man was bound over to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.
Ocxavious M. Poole, 807 Bethlehem Rd., Batesville, had a charge for possession of controlled substance with intent, firearm enhancement, driving while license suspended and speeding bound over to the grand jury.
Judge Bill McKenzie dismissed a case for petit larceny after the defendant, Jermarcus L. Holmes, 807 Bethlehem Rd., Batesville, and affiant, Lisa Strong failed to appear to court for their trial.
Justin S. Hadorn, 50 BYS 7s, Abbeville, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting. He was fined $1,146.
Stanley McMiller Jr., 165 Henry Dr. Ext., Courltand, was fined $328 for disturbing the peace after a short trial.
Thomas Stone of Skyview apartments testified he saw McMiller in a group of people fighting.
McMiller said he was trying to break a fight up and had no involvement.
McMiller also had a domestic violence-simple charge dismissed after the affiant, Marquisha Harris failed to appear to prosecute.
Terry Osborn, 232 Perkins Lane B, Batesville, had a stalking charge dismissed after testimony was given in a short trial.
The judge did tell Osborn and affiant, LaShundric Cosby to stay away from each other.
Osborn was represented by Attorney Bishop.
Brandon J. Conner, 97 Bonita Dr., Memphis, entered a guilty plea to simple possession of marijuana. He was fined $443.
Nicosia D. Griffin, 475 Greenbriar Circle, Courtland, entered a guilty plea to simple possession of marijuana and fined $443.
Qwindredrous Ellis, 218-B Broadway, Batesville, was fined $603 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle. HE had an improper equipment ticket dismissed after he told the judge he got his headlight fixed.
Lavovika R. Hazzard, 705 Mulberry St., Charleston, entered a guilty plea to possession of marijuana in a vehicle and fined $683.
Jamithrea L. Moton, 3415 Christil St., Memphis, had a trial set for June 29 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle. Moton is being represented by Attorney Tom Womble.
Dandre D. Cole, 112 Williams St., Batesville, had old fines of $1,670 due since November 2013.
Cole also had new fines of $1,669 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle, driving while license suspended and no proof of insurance.
The judge told Cole to have full fines of $3,339 in full paid or serve time in jail.
Rickey Henderson, 125 Jackson St., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to public drunk and was fined $112.50.
James L. Morgan Jr., 650 Dawn Cove, Crowder, failed to appear to answer malicious mischief charges.
Sherry Ann Clark, 317 Mosier Rd., Enid, paid fines of $1,146 in full prior to court for shoplifting.
Stlenna D. Lloyd, 100 Boyd Rd., Pope, failed to appear to answer charges for possession of marijuana in a vehicle, posssession of paraphernalia, firearm enhancement penalty and DUI-other. Alright Bonding was notified.
Maurice Wilkins, 122 Jackson, Batesville, had a trial set for July 6 for DUI-other and no driver’s license after he entered a not guilty plea.
He had a charge for domestic violence-simple assault dismissed after the affiant, Courtney Leland failed to appear to prosecute.
James W. Ridge, 2418 Hentz Rd., Courtland, had a trial set for DUI. He’s represented by Attorney Tom Womble.
Iesha D. Griffin, 475 Greenbriar, Courtland, entered a not guilty plea to DUI-(other).
A trial was set for July 6.
