South Panola runners earn North State berths

The South Panola track and field team drove to Tupelo Saturday for the Region 1-6A meet to see who would advance to the north state meet which will be held at Madison Central High School Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m.
 The top four in each event advanced.  
Two standouts were Jaterrica Amos and Chris Felix.  Amos finished fourth in the 100-meter dash and the 200m dash.  She also helped the relay team finish fourth in the 4x100m and 4x200m relays.  Felix finished first in the 100m dash and the 110m hurdles. He also finished second in the 200m dash and helped the team place fourth in the 4x200m relay.
Nicholas Porter was another athlete that placed individually.  He came in third in the 300m hurdles.  
The girls placed fourth in 4x100m and 4x200m relays (Amos, Breanna Bland, Christy Hubbard, and Keamber Jackson). They also finished fourth in the 4x800m relay (Omaira Crutchfield, Mckinze Davis, Kaniya Ford, and Grace Holloway).
The boys finished fourth in the 4x200m relay (Cortavious Campbell, Janari Dean, Felix, and James Johnson) and the 4x800m relay (Gabriel Bibbs, Micheal Bibbs, Regdricus Jones, and Tyler Riley).
