Aggravated assault and firearm charges send man to grand jury

Judge Jay Westfaul referred a man to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.

Randarrius L. Salter, 83 Graham Rd., Sardis, faces charges of aggravated assault and discharging a firearm in city limits.

Danyelle S. Curtis, 709 Leflore Ave., Clarksdale, entered guilty pleas to possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, no seat belt and driving while license suspended. She was fined $1,374.

Jonathan E. Robertson, 218 Pearson, Batesville, was told to have his old fines of $756 paid in full or serve 60 days in jail. He also had fines of $443 after entering a guilty plea to simple possession of marijuana.

Jerry Harris, 132 Martinez St., Batesville, failed to appear to answer charges of simple possession of controlled substance-firearm enhancement.

Fox Bonding was notified.

Qualesha Turner, 218 Pearson, Batesville, had a trial set for May 18 after entering a not guilty plea to malicious mischief.

Moesha Mister, 133 Hoskins, Batesville, entered a not guilty plea to disorderly conduct-simple assault. A trial was set for May 18.

Betty Ann Mister, 106 Normandy, Batesville, entered a guilty plea to disorderly conduct and reckless driving. She was fined $544.

Stanley McMiller Jr., 165 Henry Dr. Ext., Courtland, entered a not guilty plea to domestic violence-simple and disturbing the peace. A trial was set for May 11.

Dorothy Ann Robertson, 105 E. Compress Rd., Como, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting from Piggy Wiggly. She was fined $1,146.

Randall McCarty Jr., 566 Herron Rd., Courtland, entered a guilty plea to running a red light. He was fined $181.

He had a disorderly conduct-interfering with a business charge dismissed after the affiant failed to appear to prosecute.

The judge continued the case of Dexter Callicutt, 3682 Lucius Taylor, Como, charged with two counts of domestic violence-simple assault.
