The 74-page magazine was written, photographed and edited by Panolian sports editor Myra Bean, wth contributions from staff writers Ike House and Brad Greer.

Bean’s story about Ole Miss standout defensive back Tony Conner will thrill Rebel fans.
Lest Bulldog fans feel left out, Ike House interviewed MSU’s Kendrick Market.

Turning attention to local high school teams, the Panolian sports staff named 14 “high impact players” from South Panola, North Delta and North Panola, and wrote stories about each.

The issue offers local high school, junior high and community college and college football schedules, high school team and individual photos, interviews with North Panola, South Panola and North Delta coaches and their predictions for the fast-approaching season.

The Panolian’s Pre-Season All-County Team is named, and Panolian writers Greer and House name their Top 20 Poll and give their SEC predictions.

The season starts Thursday when the 2014 6A champion South Panola Tigers travel to Clinton for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

North Panola is at home Friday night, taking on Rosa Fort, and North Delta will host West Memphis. Both games are at 7 p.m.
