The South Panola volleyball team celebrated their victory over East Side Tuesday. Last year was long for the team as it only won one game. With this win and one in the classic last weekend, the team has two wins on the season so far.

The South Panola Lady Tiger volleyball squad is off to a promising season as they claimed a season-opening win over Cleveland East Side Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers played in the Pontotoc Classic last weekend but opened the regular season on the road to Cleveland.

The games were won by the scores of: Game 1: 25-8; Game 2: 25-10; and Game 3: 25-15.
Captain Courtney Towles led the Lady Tigers with 15 serve completions, four hits, two sets and three digs.

Jessica Simmerman followed with 13 serve completions, one set, seven digs and one tip.
Also contributing to the win were Jaterrica Amos, seven serve completions, one hit, four digs; Alden Clark six sets, six digs, one tip; and Kia Coleman five serve completions, one hit, six sets and two digs.

Rounding out the scoring were Maci Kirkland six serve completions, five hits, six sets, two digs; Emilee Sutton two serve completions, two hits, one set; Nicole Rensink six serves completions, one dig; and Kira Coleman three serve completions, one hit and one dig.
