Batesville Police Chief Tony Jones would only confirm Monday that Batesville Post Office worker Brenda Fay Burgess was arrested and charged with sale of controlled substance and conspiracy to sell, information found in the jail log at the David M. Bryan Justice Center.

Burgess, 48, is a long time postal employee. Although the police chief said he did not want to further comment on a pending case, he indicated no additional charges  against Burgess were pending.
