Batesville Police officers Friday were dispatched to O’Reilly Auto Parts parking lot on Highway 6E, “. . . in regards to a male subject with no clothes on.”

Officer Justin Davis’ incident report stated that the 53-year-old male was, “wrapped in a sleeping bag. He did not know who he was or where he was.”

Med Stat ambulance service, “made scene and transported to Tri-Lakes ER,” according to Davis’ report.

Also Friday, a report of a stolen gun was made with the victim stating that the gun was missing from a vehicle at 303 Medical Drive (Tri-Lakes Emergency Room) parking lot.

But Patrolman Justin Davis’ report said the pistol was last seen Thursday, November 6 at 7:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. the victim could not find the pistol in his vehicle but also stated that he was not sure if the pistol was stolen or if he misplaced the pistol.

Davis’s report also stated, “He (the victim) also stated he had gotten some stuff out of his vehicle and his pistol could have fallen out of his vehicle.”

The pistol, a stainless Winchester .22 caliber, five shot, was valued at $250. Its serial number was entered into the National Crime Information System.

Patrolman Will Parrish responded to a possible disturbance at Skyview apartments on Lester Street where a resident said she, “kicked her ex-boyfriend out of her house,” and then he became angry and kicked the door.

According to Parrish’s report the door was, “busted open and the door jamb was destroyed.”
The subject reportedly fled the area in a car with friends prior to Skyview apartment security making the scene who contacted owner that stated, “they did want charges to be filed,” according to the report.

“I advised them to get an estimate for the damages and come to the Police Department and sign an affidavit for malicious mischief,” Parrish said in his report.

Not included in weekend incident reports from BPD was an alleged Piggly Wiggly parking lot “hit and run” involving the 2005 charcoal gray Chevrolet Trailblazer of Carl Flowers.

Flowers reported that the incident occurred between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

A witness said a blue Dodge pickup driven by a white male with a female companion hit Flower’s parked vehicle.

According to Flower’s account of a witness’s statement, “He peeped in my truck to see if anybody was in there and then told the female to get back into his truck and they left.”

Flowers said the couple exited on the Dettor Street side of Piggly Wiggly’s parking lot headed east.

Flowers said security cameras are being checked from businesses in the area to see if the suspect’s vehicle can be positively identified. He said damage to his vehicle totals $1,500.
