In a story in the Tuesday edition, (Two men dead following late night ambush) Sherika Harris was identified as having been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the January, 2012 death of Jeremy Wright.

In February, 2013 Harris pled guilty to the lessor charge of accessory after the fact and was sentenced to the 386 days she had already served since her arrest. She was placed under three years, 249 days of post release supervision, according to the sentencing order signed by Circuit Judge Jimmy McClure. Harris had no previous offenses, the order states.

Others charged during the investigation of that murder and their adjudication are as follow:

— Marico Fondren pled guilty to manslaughter in Wright’s death. He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. He is currently in the Holmes County Correctional Facility, scheduled for release in 2015.

— Marcus Wheatly pled guilty to accessory after the fact and was sentenced to time served, 372 days, and four years’ probation.

— Michael Fondren pled guilty to felony possession of a firearm, was sentenced to time served, 385 days, and eight years’ probation.

— Jayson D. Dishmon initially pled guilty to accessory after the fact of murder. In March, Judge McClure dismissed the case.

— Latasha Taylor, whose plea of guilty to conspiracy to commit murder was not ordered no adjudicated pending successful completion of three years of probation, after which the case will be dismissed. Judge McClure in his order cited Taylor’s never having been convicted of a felony.
