Brassell wins regional to advance to north state 4/29/2014

North Panola’s Devonta Brassell claimed the regional championship in three events in Saturday’s track meet.
He won the triple jump, 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles at the Charleston event. He also advanced in the long jump.
Also advancing to the North Half meet on Saturday, tentatively at Charleston, are:
Onesha Hunt – Triple Jump;
Girls 4×100-meter relay team of Destiny Sanders, Kityra Webb, Lakiereny Ruffin, Shaquanta Pettis;
Boys 4×100-meter relay team of Justin Connor, Deaireny Hurt, Deanta Sipp, Virgil Jones;
Boys 4×200-meter relay team of Justin Connor, Deaireny Hurt, Deanta Sipp, Virgil Jones;
100-meter dash of Justin Connor and Deaireny Hurt;
200-meter dash, Deaireny Hurt; and
400-meter dash, LaErica Spann.
