South Panola School District students will go to school both on President’s Day, next Monday, February 17 and Easter Monday April 21 to make up for the two days lost this week to inclimate weather.

North Panola students will attend school Easter Monday, April 21 and possibly on a Saturday, as that district’s calendar did not have President’s Day as a holiday this year, according to Conservator Robert King.

Neither of those schools’ calendars had extra days built in for weather and a minimum number of days are required by the state.

North Delta School had three days built into their calendar and as of now will need no makeup days, according to Headmaster John Howell, Jr.
