Batesville will begin a $350,000 program to resurface designated streets during the summer paving season.

Aldermen unanimously approved the list during the May 15 city board meeting.

Streets slated for summer paving are Gracie Cove, Bates/East streets, Campbell Street, Kornegay Road, the Patton Lane Recreational Facility parking lot, College Street from the Square to North Street, Hays Street and Vance Street.

City engineer Mendrop-Wages, LLC prepared cost estimates for each street, estimating the quantity of hot mix asphalt needed for each street.
