It was a teary good-bye for the orphaned pups raised by Martha Reed with help from co-workers, friends and customers. They are the offspring of a stray that Reed fed for years behind Durham’s Hair Care Center where Reed is a beautician. The nine healthy pups were all adopted to good homes Reed assured, with four of them staying local and five being adopted to homes in the Boston area.
