Since district action started for the South Panola Lady Tiger’s softball slow pitch team things have been tough for them.
On Thursday they traveled to Grenada to take on the Lady Chargers and fell 10-1 recording their third loss in district action.
The Lady Tigers scored their only run in the top of the first when Meri Morgan Fortune hit a single and later came home when Destine Brandon singled picking up an RBI.
Hitting was the difference in the game. The Lady Tigers had only five and four errors while the Lady Chargers had 14 hits and two errors.
Getting hits was Fortune, Brandon, Christa Brown, Amanda Ivy and Crystal Contreras.
South Panola played Saturday in the Grenada Tournament and got back on the winning track with two shutout wins.
Against Independence they won 10-0 and defeated Jim Hill 19-0.
The Lady Tigers scheduled game with J. Z. George today been canceled as the majority of the J. Z. George team has contracted the flu, according to Lady Tiger head coach Kim Wilson.
