North Panola High School will hold a special two-week session for ninth graders this month.
The school received a three-year School Improvement Grant (SIG) which will allow the implementation of Ninth Grade Summer Bridge Academy.
“It will provide a successful transition to our school for incoming ninth graders,” NPHS principal Jamone Edwards said in an email.
The program is scheduled for July 11-22 and will provide students with small group learning experiences in math and English. Additionally, students will experience hands-on technology and will also take field trips.
“Another benefit is that students will become familiar with our campus and get to know staff members who will be available to assist them once school begins,” Edwards stated.
Hours of the Ninth Grade Summer Bridge Academy are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-12 noon.
Parents are invited to a special program on Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m.
Transportation will be provided by the North Panola School District. Students must adhere to the district’s dress and conduct code, Edwards said.
