Batesville police are seeking help from the public following suspected arson at Bestway, a rent-to-own store.
Three acts of arson have been committed at the store, one that burned a delivery van and two outside the store, said BPD Detective George Williford.
A fire was started in front of the store Tuesday and at the rear of the store the following night. The van was torched June 22.
The store anchors the west end of a shopping center at 401 Highway 6 East, located next to Subway.
An arson investigator with the State Fire Marshal’s office is helping Batesville police and the Batesville Fire Department, said the detective.
Williford contacted The Panolian to report the arson has been added to the Crime Stoppers program. He acts as the program coordinator for the police department.
