White Christmas

For the first time since 1963, Panola Countians experienced a white Christmas. A huge winter storm blanketed much of the northeastern U.S., causing airport closings and travel delays, but bringing only a dusting to North Mississippi. With local temperatures in the mid-thirties and above, the snow lasted only until about mid-morning on Christmas Day. Homeowner Gina Kilgore snapped this photo about 7 a.m. Christmas morning.
