What a surprise these Batesville Elementary School students found when they returned to school last week. Last fall the students in the kindergarten class of Teresa Lloyd placed a used jack o’lantern in a corner of the school playground to see what would happen if they just left it alone. As time progressed, the old pumpkin “melted” into the ground and in the spring pumpkin vines sprouted. Lloyd asked the groundskeeper not to mow over the vines, and when the children returned to school last week
