ND softball starts season at Holmes – Will have first home game next Tuesday

North Delta School saw the 2024 softball season get off to a tough start by dropping three games in the Central Holmes tournament Friday and Saturday at Holmes Community College.
The Green Wave opened the tournament with a 9-1 loss to Tri-County Friday followed by setbacks to Central Hinds 6-5 and Madison Ridgeland Academy 9-1 Saturday.
Kori Cox paced North Delta offensively in the three games with five hits in six at bats. Madilyn Kimzy was three-for-five while Baylie Terry recorded two hits. Addison Curtis and Kindell Coleman produced one hit each. Addison Willingham drove in a run.
North Delta traveled to Magnolia Heights Tuesday (July 30) before taking part in the DeSoto, AR, tournament Saturday.
The Lady Wave will host Indianola Tuesday in the home opener.
