Letter to the editor

Enid Lake resident takes exception to neighbor’s zeal, warns others

This letter is written as a warning to the people of the Enid Lake area. There is a man who is playing cop in this area around Enid Shores and Woodland Acres, mostly on Whipoorwill and the pipeline between the subdivisions.

He stops every kid on four-wheelers, go-carts, bicycles, even walking. He stops very few adults. He does not live here but has a summer home on Whipoorwill and appears to think that he controls the road.

This past holiday he hasseled and called the sheriff’s department on kids having a good time before dark. Warning: if this man tries to stop you, keep going, find an adult to help you or go home and tell your parents. This man has stopped many children, causing the kids a lot of emotional distress.

Call the sheriff if stopped by this man. He has no right policing this road. He states that his son is a judge, but it is not in this county.

Parents, take notice of this warning. Many of you are already aware of this situation. Pass it along to your neighbors. Summer is here and kids are starting to play. Let’s take care of the children’s welfare and stop this man’s game that he is putting your child through.
