Camp participants need to bring canned goods to help stock local food pantry

The Boys and Girls Club staff has announced that an omission was made on the admission for the Deshea Townsend camp next Saturday.

Each child is required to bring a canned good to support the local Food Pantry. The Memphis Food Bank will be on hand to accept the canned goods to benefit the local unit.

Townsend, a Batesville native and Pittsburgh Steeler cornerback, is hosting his 11th annual Pay It Forward Football Camp. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A health fair will be held at the Batesville Middle School during the same time.
