Basketball resumes action

After a week off, the local high school basketball teams will return to action tonight.

North Panola will host Shelby Broadstreet of Memphis at 6 p.m. Friday, North Panola will host Coldwater in a rematch from Nov. 20 at 6 p.m.

South Panola will be at home hosting Horn Lake tonight at 6 p.m. On December 7 and 8, the Tigers will participate in the Cleveland tournament.

North Delta is on the road this week for both games. Today they will open district play at Marshall Academy beginning at 3:30 p.m. with the boys seventh grade game. Saturday, they travel to Delta for non-conference action beginning at 2 p.m.

The Green Wave will return home Monday, December 7 to host Kirk in district action beginning at 3:30 p.m. with the junior high girls games.

Batesville Jr. High played Grenada last night and will be at Lafayette County on Thursday at 5 p.m.

Pope Jr. High hosted Water Valley last night and will be at Senatobia Thursday at 5 p.m.

North Panola Jr. High played at Tunica Middle last night and will host M.S. Palmer Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
