Veteran of Iraq War will speak

A veteran of the Iraq war will be the speaker for a Veterans’ Day program on Tuesday, November 11 at the Downtown Memorial Park in Batesville.

CW2 Bubba Bryant, who served with the Tupelo-based Mississippi Army National Guard as an AH64 Apache helicopter pilot in a 2006 deployment, will address veterans and friends at the 11 a.m. program. Bryant, now a trooper with the Mississippi State HIghway Patrol, is the son of Harry and Carole Bryant and is married to the former Jamie Warren. They have four children.

Robert Rawson will serve as master of ceremonies. The Air Force JROTC cadets from South Panola High School will present the colors. The South Panola High School choir, under the direction of Pam Stafford, will sing the national anthem.

Everyone is invited to attend.
