North Delta’s Ally Alford recored a double-double with 32 points and 11 rebounds, but to no avail as the Lady Green Wave dropped their season-opener on the road 68-62 to Pillow Academy Tuesday.

The Lady Wave fell behind 16-5 after one quarter of play before out-scoring Pillow 57-52 the rest of the way.

Isabella Morrow chipped in eight points, seven rebounds and five steals.

Faith Bollinger followed with seven points and two rebounds while McKinna Smith contributed six points and five boards.

Hannah Bollinger scored four and Shelby Grace Boone added three, also pulling down10 rebounds. Eliza Morris rounded out the scoring with three points.

North Delta visits Tishomingo County High School  next Tuesday at 5 p.m.
