Batesville Municipal Court was held Wednesday, July 24, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.
Brondreekeus Clark,107 MLK Dr. Apt. 6A ,Batesville, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana plus non-payment of old fines all totaling $899 due in 30 days.
Wade A. Thornton, 105 MLK Dr., Batesville, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was fined $443.
Xavier G. Hinds, 445 Sanders Rd., Sardis, failed to appear on non-payment of old fines and possession of marijuana in a vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued.
Kirk D. Casey,171 MLK Dr.,Batesville, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct-failure to comply and was given 30 days to pay a $647 fine.
Ceaira R. Harris,105 Goodhaven Rd., Batesville, paid a $328 fine prior to court on a simple assault charge.
Justin K. Mister, 330 Ford Rd., Batesville, was found guilty of simple assault and fined $328.
Tim L. Marshall, Jr. 12871 Ballentine Rd., Sardis, pleaded guilty to simple assault and possession of marijuana and was given 30 days to pay a $771 fine.
April N. Turner, 200 Ridge Rd., Courtland, pleaded guilty to running a stop sign along with non-payment of old fines totaling $1,611.
Darrian J. Morris, 321B Ridge Rd., Courtland, pleaded guilty to no driver’s license and expired tag along with non-payment of old fines totaling $1,845.
Shontravious M. Evan,105 Goodhaven Rd., Batesville, had a sexual battery charge bound over to the Panola Co. Grand Jury.
Jonathan A. Griffin, 2280 Dummy Line Rd., Batesville, had a preliminary hearing on a charge of attempted burglary. Judge Westfaul bound the case over to the Panola Co. Grand Jury.
Malynda Townsend, no address given, was credited for two days time served in jail on a shoplifting charge and fined $946.
Joshua Butler, no address given, was credited for one day time served in jail on a shoplifting charge and fined $1,046.
Karen Webster, no address given, was credited for three days time served in jail on shoplifting and resisting arrest and fined $1,174. Webster also had trespassing charge continued.
In cases set for trial,
Jimmy Bishop, 557 Sanders Rd., Sardis, had a case of DUI (refusal) and careless driving case continued.
Christopher McCollum, 2815 Belmont, Rd., had a domestic violence case continued.
Patricia Aguilar, 3019 Waldrop Rd., Batesville, has a simple assault charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution.
Brandin L. Schille, 9009 Wilson Mill Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and driving on the wrong side of the road and was fined $598.
