Sardis Lake Baptist Church will hold its Independence Day Celebration Sunday, June 30, from 4 to 9 p.m. There will be a hamburger cooking contest, watermelon eating and homemade ice cream contests. Fireworks will be shot at dark. Fun and games for all. Call 609-0546 for more information.

Dr. Valerie Martin-Stewart, Fredericksburg, Va. will host a “Miracles in Mississippi” revival, July 1-3, at 7 nightly (Doors open at 6 p.m.)  in the Water Valley Civic Auditorium, 904 Main St., Water Valley, 38965. Concord Baptist Church, 10204 Curtis Road, will be celebrating its 152^nd Church Anniversary. High Tea will be served Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Concord Macedonia Center with speaker Lenora Morris. Sunday starts with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. followed by 11 a.m. Worship Services and 1 p.m. Old Time Dinner on the Grounds. Come and worship with us.  Christopher Townsend is church pastor.

Vacation Bible School  will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Sunday thru Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “In The Wild.” Supper begins at 5:30 followed by lessons,  music, and crafts for children ages 3 to 8th grade. Church address is 1638 Shady Grove Rd.

July 7-12

Pope Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School “In the Wild” from 6 to 8:15  p.m. Sunday thru Friday. Registration is from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. Sunday, July 7, for ages 3 to 12th grade.

The Sardis District M.B. Association Sunday school and NBC Congress of North Mississippi will have its annual session, Sunday through Friday. The event will be held at the Baptist Educational Building, 582 West Lee St., Sardis. Sunday, the Pre-Congress Musical will start at 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday registration is at 2 p.m. The rest of the week events start at 4 p.m.

July 8-19

The United Fellowship M. B. Church, 263 Highway 6 W., will have summer camp, July 8-12 and July 15-19 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is July 6 (must register). Cost is $20 per child each week of the Christian camp. The camp is for ages 4 to 18. Activities planned are art, history, Black history, music, and Bible time.
