In a rare occurrence, Batesville All-Star softball teams did not bring home first place championships at the Batesville Summer Bash held at J.P. Husdon Park over the weekend.

The 10U softball All-Stars reached the title game Saturday, but fell 12-4 to Saltillo. Batesville went 2-2 in the tournament by splitting a pair of games with Germantown while beating Hernando.

The 6U Batesville squad lost all three games they played while the 8U team won the first two games of pool play before losing to Hernando in single elimination bracket play Saturday.

Their were also two baseball divisions played though neither had Batesville teams involved due to previous obligations in other tournaments being held at the same time in other cities.
