Mike Robinson, of the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the manager at Enid Lake, will present a program on Enid Lake’s history at the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ Visitor Education Center (VEC) on Saturday, June 1 at 2 p.m.

Working with the Corps since 1972, Robinson has participated on local historical projects including restoring Ford’s Well. He has written numerous articles on the lake’s construction, and the families present on the Enid land before construction began in 1947. Robinson will show pictures and memorabilia from that time and conduct a question and answer session at the end of the program.

The program is free with the price of admission. Admission is $2.50 for adults ages 18-59, and $2.00 for youth ages 3-17 and adults over the age of 60. For more information, please call the VEC art (662) 563-8068.

The VEC is part of the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ North Mississippi Fish Hatchery and is located at Exit 233 east off I-55.
