The following cases were heard in Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday, Feb.27, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.
Erick Cathey, 713 Booth St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to violation of the the city leash law for dogs and was fined $100
Ronald W. Keen, 17279 Hwy. 51 Batesville, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness and open container along with unpaid fines totaling $1,031
Allison Rose, 3572 Mt. Olivet Rd., Batesville, pleaded not guilty to simple possession of marijuana and speeding with a trial date set for March 6th.
Titus Bowens, 2944 Green St., Tupelo, failed to appear on a simple possession of marijuana charge.
Adren Taylor, 330 Greenhill Circle, Sardis, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana in a vehicle, open container and public drunkenness and was fined $1,235 due in 30 days.
Carma M. Ballinger, 3007 W. Malone, Peoria, Ill., failed to appear on charges of possession of marijuana, no drivers license, improper equipment and no proof of insurance. A arrest warrant was issued.
Derrick L. Morning 1229 Heafner Rd., Batesville, pleaded no contest to trespassing.
Kerrance Patterson, 206 MLK, Batesville, failed to appear on a charge of disorderly conduct. An arrest warrant was issued.
Stephanie Copeland, 833 CR 232 Oakland, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146.
Rodney L. Harris, 221-B Henry Heafner, Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146 due in 30 days.
Codarius Cox, 1177-A Mt. Level Rd., Sardis, was found guilty of non-payment of old fines totaling $1,076.
Demario C. Davis, 1524 CR 232, Oakland, failed to appear on non-payment of old fines totaling $1,842.
Jemero Carter, 26 CR1029 Oxford, failed to appear on non-payment of old fines totaling $832.
Carlos Hooks, 219 Noble St, Batesville, failed to appear on non-payment of old fines totaling $1,568.
Jamarcus Holmes, 211 Noble St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to contempt of fines for non-payment of old fines totaling $2,699.
Anthony Flowers, 4072 Curtis Rd., Batesville, had charges of felony possession of a stolen firearm, discharging a firearm with city limits and public drunkenness sent to the Grand Jury.
In cases set for trial,
Bernard Porter, 505 Magnolia St., Sardis, was found guilty of DUI and speeding and fined $948
Kimberly Ostheimer, 138 Hemlock Rd., Batesville, had a case of DUI, disorderly conduct and no proof of insurance continued to March 13.
