Kenya Edwards of Sardis, former North Panola Lady Cougar standout, and her Rhodes College Lynx team won the 2019 Southern Athletic Association tournament championship last week defeating defending champion Oglethorpe 56-41 on the campus of Millsaps College. With the win, the Lynx earned the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament. She is the daughter of Clarence and Jackie Edwards of Sardis.
