The following cases were heard in Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday, Jan.16, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.

Rachel E. Russell, 1674 Sailors St. Memphis, failed to appear on a possession of paraphernalia charge. An arrest warrant was issued.

Jody L. Smith, 985 Dry Brayer Rd., Lambert, failed to appear on charges of possession of paraphernalia, expired tag and no proof of insurance.

Tevin B.Robinson, 196 Harris Rd., Sardis, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana in a vehicle, a firearm enhancement penalty, speeding and suspended drivers license and was fined $1,897 due in 30 days.

Tanequa M.Farmer, 2114 Shiloh Rd., Courtland, pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana, no insurance and suspended drivers license and given a $1,230 fine due in 30 days.

Najee Edwards, 3339 Benson Rd., Pope, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana in a vehicle and speeding and given a $832 fine due in 30 days.

Dennis Henderson, 107 Martin Luther King, Apt. 4B, Batesville, pleaded guilty to discharging a firearm in city limits and was fined $646. due in 30 days.

Xavier Bailey, 6091 Barnacle St., Sardis, pleaded not guilty to trespassing and disorderly conduct, but pleaded guilty to no seatbelt, no drivers license and no insurance. Bailey was credited eight days in jail for time served and released.

Jennifer M. Copeland, 1117 Scott Ave.Lambert,  had a charge of shoplifting continued.

Miles C. Cole, 905 Irwin St., Lambert, failed to appear on a shoplifting charge with an arrest warrant being issued.

April J. Burney-Partridge, 585 Perkins St., Batesville, failed to appear on a charge of shoplifting.

Anthony Harris, Jr., 105 Trianon St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to two counts of false information, two counts of driving with a suspended license and two counts of no proof of insurance and fined $2,265 due in 30 days. Harris had a charge of domestic violence dismissed due to lack of prosecution.

Justin T. Redd, 6450 Mt. Olivet Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to contempt of court and fined $811 due in 30 days.

Michael D. Broadnax, 246 Van Voris St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to non-payment of old fines totaling $610 due in 30 days.

Michael T. Jennings Jr. 10 A Depot St., Charleston, pleaded guilty to contempt of court and was fined $2,094.

In cases set of trial:

Idem A. Hamid, 109 College St., Batesville, had a case of domestic violence-simple assault dismissed.

Winter Swope, 432C Tubbs Rd., Batesville, failed to appear for trial on simple possession of a controlled substance plus old fines and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Justin Frederick, 432C Tubbs Rd., Batesville, failed to appear on simple possession of a controlled substance plus old fines and was  sentenced to 60 days in jailed.

Angela Pollard, 905 Sasse St., Clarksdale, was found guilty of shoplifting and fined $1,146 due in 30 days.

Victor D. Orton, Jr., 436 Cosby Rd., Enid, was found guilty of DUI (first offense) and fined $779, but had another charge of DUI remanded to the files.
