Soccer drops pair to Lake Cormorant

The South Panola High School soccer teams dropped matches on a cool, drizzly morning at Robert H. Dunlap Stadium Saturday as the Tigers hosted Lake Cormorant High School.
The Lady Tigers lost 6-0 in the opening match while the boys fell 6-1 to the Gators. Spencer Davis gave South Panola an early 1-0 lead with a goal less than three minutes into the contest.
Lake Cormorant responded with four goals in the first half and two more in the second half for the final margin of victory.
South Panola hosted Independence Thursday with each team battling to a 1-1 draw. Victoria Ratfield scored the lone goal for the Lady Tigers while Davis accounted for the boys’ goal.
South Panola hosted Cleveland Central last night before taking off for the holidays. The Tigers return to the pitch Jan. 3 hosting Strayhorn.
