The M&M Convenience Store gained notoriety during the Jessica Chambers murder and the subsequent two trials of Quinton Tellis for the death. State attorneys used footage from M&M’s cameras and witnesses who saw the pair together at the store to bolster their unsuccessful prosecution of Tellis.  The Tellis home is across the road from the location.

Left in critical condition at The Med in Memphis are three victims, each with gunshot wounds. The incident was captured on the store’s closed circuit cameras and is being studied by investigators.

The Cox couple are charged with three counts of aggravated assault each.

More than 10 law enforcement vehicles representing several agencies responded to the call, which came in shortly after 6 p.m. Hwy. 51 was closed to traffic for a short time while officers got control of the scene.

Deputies are still reviewing footage and interviewing witnesses. They said the alleged shooters and victims seem to be known to one another.
