Tuesday, park user Darrell Pride asked in a letter to the editor what happened to the basketball rims in American Legion Park.

City of Batesville Parks and Recreation director Robert Lightsey said the park would be just for baseball now. The area for basketball will be used as a baseball warm up area. The tennis area remains.

The only public park with basketball rims is located in Patton Lane Park.
