The South Panola Lady Tiger basketball team played in its first state tournament in 36 years. The Lady Tigers dominated the Hancock Lady Hawks with a 50-31 win.
South Panola had three players scoring in double figures, Vetorra Cole 14, Sabrina Townsend, 13 and Chasity Kearney, 10.
The Lady Tigers will face the No. 1 North Team Murrah on Thursday at 1 p.m. in Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson. The winner will play the winner of the Greenville-Brandon game Saturday at 7 p.m. for the championship.
The South Panola Lady Tiger fastpitch softball team shutout Grenada 11-0 Friday night in six innings.
Whitney Kiihnl picked up her sixth win of the season, a no-hitter, striking out 16 batters. She also allowed no walks. No Lady Charger got on base.
The South Panola baseball team took a non-conference game from Olive Branch Friday night. The Tigers won 6-1 on triples by Wesley Gregg and Whit Whitten.
David Renfroe pitched the complete game and got the win in seven innings.
