In Ward III, incumbent Alderwoman Ruby Higgenbottom is being challenged by Democratic nominee James Norman.

For the position of alderman-at-large, incumbent John Walton, running as an independent, faces Democratic nominee James Jones.
Pope voters face a choice in their selection as mayor. Incumbent Mayor Jamie Howell is being challenged by Matt Hill. Both are independents.
Pope alderman candidates, all of whom are elected at-large, face no opposition, but their names will be on the ballot, Town Clerk Tracy Holcomb said. They are Justin Pope, Jesse Flowers, Ann Rikard, Michael Boyette and Dan Jenkins.
Polls will open at 7 a.m. and remain open until 7 p.m.
