KING, John Lee Sr.
    
OXFORD – John Lee King Sr., 98, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
     Services are today at 11 a.m. at Waller Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Rev. Warren Black, Rev. Frank Poole and Rev. Brian Richardson officiated. Burial will be in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home has charge.
     King was a retired service manager at Rebel Chevrolet in Oxford and was a former service manager at Southside Chevrolet in Batesville. He was a member of Oxford-University United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Double Circle Sunday School Class. He was a Shriner and a Mason.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Rowena Westmoreland King.
     Survivors include: two daughters, Gracie Lee King Mead of Houston, Texas and Betty Lou King Self of Richardson, Texas; two sons, Denny King of Madison and Jack King of Batesville; one sister, Nell King Henson of New Albany; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

KUYKENDALL, Thelma Pearl
    
MEMPHIS – Thelma Pearl Kuykendall, 69, formerly of Crowder, died Sunday, February 18, 2007, at her residence.
     Services are today at noon at Antioch M.B. Church in Courtland. Rev. Reginald Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Courtland. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
     Kuykendall, born Oct. 14, 1937, in Batesville, to Eula Dunn Kuykendall of Crowder and the late Nolton Kuykendall, was a homemaker and a member of Antioch M.B. Church.
     Survivors along with her mother include: one daughter, Norristein Kuykendall of Memphis; one son, Sherman Kuykendall of Batesville; two sisters, Velma James of Batesville and Carnelia Kuykendall of Memphis; three brothers, William Lee Kuykendall of Batesville, Waverly Kuykendall of Memphis and Sceola Kuykendall of Minnesota and three grandchildren.
