Erma Mae Echols, 79, of Como, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of cancer.
Services were Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Free Springs Cemetery. Rev. Tim Osborne officiated. Moore Funeral Home had charge.
Echols, born July 31, 1925 in Memphis, to the late James Leroy Smith and the late Willie Love Crockett, was a Baptist and a member of Lafayette CB Radio Club.
Survivors include her husband Henry C. Echols of Como; one sister Mildred Scott of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Lafayette CB Radio and Northwest Community College in Senatobia.
Edlin, Douglas Grant "Doug"
Douglas Grant "Doug" Edlin, 41, of Sardis, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
Services were Friday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Sardis. Rev. Rusty Roberson and Rev. Randy Owen officiated. Moore Funeral Home had charge.
Edlin, born Oct. 21, 1963, to the late L.C. and Cora Dell Appleton Edlin, was a Methodist, a Mason, a carpenter and a dry wall finisher.
Survivors include his daughter Kayla Marie Edlin of Courtland; five sisters, Sue Kirby, Kay Goforth and Cammie Simmerman, all of Sardis, Jane Hill of Senatobia and Ann Hall of Batesville and two brothers, Lonnie Edlin and Danny Edlin, both of Sardis.

Necy Turner Tedford Edwards, 84, of Batesville, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at her residence.
Services were Thursday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Edwards, born Nov. 11, 1919, to George W. and Sallie Bellview Turner, was a private duty nurse and a member of Crowder Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sallie Mae Harper of Cypress Inn, Tenn. and Miriam Tedford Stroupe of Pope; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son James Ray Tedford; one daughter Martha Louise Tedford; and her husband Robert Edwards.
Edwards, William C.
Como, Miss.
William C. Edwards, 56, of Como, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at his residence.
Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Simon Chapel #2 M.B. Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home has charge.
Edwards was a farmer and a member of Hunters Chapel M.B. Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother Bullie Edwards.
Survivors include his mother Gracie Edwards of Como; one daughter Tina Fairley of Como; four sons, William Dishmon, William Hardin, Ketric Gardner and Terry Gardner, all of Como; seven sisters, Minnie Carlton of Memphis, Tenn., Emma Edwards, Gracie Mae Edwards and Mildred Crawford, all of Sardis, Ruthie Faulkner and Renetha Faulkner, both of Senatobia and Bobbie Legge of Batesville; two brothers, Jimmy Edwards and Bemis Edwards, both of Como and nine grandchildren.
Egbert, Bertha Dell Fisher
Bertha Dell Fisher Egbert, 73, of Batesville, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at her residence of heart failure.
Services were Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Batesville. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. Rev. Don Bishop and Rev. Martin Case officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Egbert, born Sept. 27, 1930, to the late Julia Lucille Smith and the late Benjamin Franklin Fisher Jr., was a homemaker, a member of the Hospital Auxillary, a present member of Reach to Recovery and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband John Ralph Egbert of Batesville; two sons, Ralph Myer Egbert of Batesville and John Chester Egbert of Moss Point; one brother Walter Fisher of Taylorsville; one sister Martha Knight of Brundidge, Ala.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son Larry Thomas Egbert.
Ellis, Carey Dean

Carey Dean Ellis, 67, of Crowder, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at VA Medical Center in Memphis of heart failure.
Services were Monday at Crowder Assembly of God. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Murphy Eubanks officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.
Ellis, born June 13, 1936, was a member of Crowder Assembly of God and served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired contractor.
Survivors include two daughters, Lorri Brooks and Cheryl Self, both of Crowder; two brothers, Maurice " Sonny" Ellis of Enon and Gerald Ellis of Southaven; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Joyce Bridges Ellis and one daughter Deborah Joyce Steadman.
Epps, Vivian Jean Hammond
Vivian Jean Hammond Epps, 41, of Senatobia, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Baptist Desoto in Southaven.
Services were Saturday at Zion Hill M.B. Church of Senatobia. Burial was in the church cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.
Epps was a member of the church’s choir and Sunday School class. She enjoyed working with the church youth and church missionary.
Survivors include her husband Jake Epps Jr.; one daughter Lavondra N. Hammond of Senatobia; her parents, Joe Willie and Maude Eva Walker; two sisters, Cynthia Rayborn of Horn Lake and Ericur Avery of Mansfield, Ohio; and two brothers, Dennis Hammond and Menzie Walker, both of Senatobia.
Everett, Floy Corrine
Floy Corrine Everett, 94, of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004.
Everett, born Dec. 5, 1909, to the late Charlie and Elizabeth Garland Martin, was a homemaker and a member of Boulevard Baptist Church.
Services were Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. E.K. Gordon officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Survivors include one son Charles David Everett of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Mabel Jean Walker of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Larry Clark "L.C." Exson, 61, of Oakland, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Services were Tuesday at Mount Mariah District Association Center in Coffeeville. Burial was in Philadelphia Cemetery in Oakland. Rev. Johnny Dumas officiated. Cooley’s Mortuary, Inc. had charge.
Exson, born March 10, 1943, to the late Lell and the late Olliebell Phillips Exson, was a farmer and a member of Robinson Chapel C.M.E. Church of Oakland.
Survivors include his wife Jannie C. Exson of Oakland; five daughters, Dorothy Triplett, Hazel Exson, Tracy Exson and Helen Exson, all of Oakland and Mary Taylor of Coffeeville; one brother Thomas Exson of St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Eula Taylor, Alberta Benson and Emma Williams, all of Oakland and Izell Frost of St. Louis, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
