Keating, Patsy Ruth
Patsy Ruth Keating, 52, of Batesville, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at her parents residence.
Keating, born Aug. 14, 1952 in Clarksdale, to Ralph Keating and Mary Sorrells Keating, was a member of First United Methodist Church, member of the Kiwanis Club, Galen Order of The University of Mississippi and preceptor for Ole Miss Pharmacy School. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing at the church. She graduated from South Panola High School and The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She was also a member of Rho Chi and Mortar Board. She was actively involved with the students at the Batesville Job Corps. In 1944 she opened Patsy’s Prescription Shop, known to all as Medicap Pharmacy. She loved her customers and even in her sickest times, she was concerned for them in every aspect of their lives.
Services were Sunday at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Curtis Union Cemetery. Rev. Keith Keeton and Rev. Russell Fletcher officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Survivors in addition to her parents include two sisters, Linda Parker of Asheville, N.C. and Jane Keating Rodriguez of West Port, Conn.

Keel, Junious Edward
Junious Edward Keel, 83, of Oxford, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at his residence.
Services were Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Waller Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Burial was in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Gerald Shook and Rev. Charles Keel officiated. Waller Funeral Home had charge.
Keel served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church and Oakley Lodge #688 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Keel of Oxford; three daughters, Gladys "Marie" Keel, step-daughters – Patricia Brown and Mary Brown, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister Dartha "Dot" Kelley of Oxford; four grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Kelley, Margaret Helen Gardner
Margaret Helen Gardner Kelley, 77, of Batesville, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare in Batesville of heart failure.
Services were Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Rev. Ray Legge officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Kelley, born July 26, 1926, to the late A.D. and the late Margaret Augustus Gardner, was retired from Kimberly Clark of Memphis.
Survivors include her care giver Susan O’Conner of Batesville; and one brother Will Gardner of Oakland.
She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Kelley.

Georgina Kemp, 69, of Clarksdale, died Friday, September 10, 2004, at Clarksdale Nursing Center.
Services were Thursday at Chapel Hill M.B. Church in Clarksdale. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Alligator. Rev. Jhon Ross officiated. Eddie Robinson and Son Funeral Directors had charge.

Enid, Miss.
Dorothy Lee Kendall, 94, of Enid, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at the Sardis Nursing Home.
Services were Saturday at Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Enid. Newsom Funeral Home had charge.
Kendall, born April 18, 1910, was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter Doris Holloway of Warrenville Heights, Ohio; one son Thomas Kendall of Enid; two sisters, Ruby Havens of Memphis, Tenn. and Wilma Martin of Olive Branch; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Alan Kennedy, 39, of Eads, Tenn., died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Fisherville, Tenn.
Services are today at 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Fisherville, Tenn. Burial is in Fisherville Baptist Church Cemetery. Collierville Funeral Home in Collierville, Tenn. has charge.
Kennedy was a member of First Baptist Church of Fisherville, Tenn. and a plant manager of Universal Bedding.
Survivors include his wife Abby Kennedy of Fisherville, Tenn.; two daughters, Rheanne and Ariane, both of Fisherville, Tenn.; two sons, Michael and Bailey of Fisherville, Tenn.; his parents, Gene and Shirley Kennedy of Germantown, Tenn.; and one sister Mechel Kennedy Frost of Nashville, Tenn.

Sara Alice Keys, 100, of Sardis, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at Primary Health Care in Memphis.
Services are Saturday at 3 p.m. at Sardis United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the Sardis United Methodist Church from 2 p.m. until funeral time. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Dr. Doyce Gunter will officiate. Moore Funeral Home has charge.
Keys, born Nov. 1, 1903, was a school teacher and a member of the Sardis Woman’s Club, Como Book Club and a member of Sardis United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter Alice Davis of Germantown; one son Robert Keys of Hermiston, Ore.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband R. Taylor Keys.
Kidd, Nancy Carol Vreeland
Nancy Carol Vreeland Kidd, 52, of Batesville, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at The Med in Memphis of heart failure.
Services were Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Batesville. Rev. Phil Weatherwax and Rev. Rachel Woodall officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Kidd, born Aug. 20, 1951, to Rodney Earl Vreeland and the late Peggy Jean Wilson, was a postal clerk at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis and a member of Frayser Christian Church of Memphis.
Survivors include her husband Terry Kidd of Memphis; one son Jason Elliot Kidd of Memphis; one sister Terry Vreeland of Memphis; and a father Rodney Earl Vreeland of Batesville.

Arthur Lee Kimbrough, 50, of Sardis, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at his residence of injuries received in a house fire.

Kimbrough, born June 29, 1953, to the late James Kimbrough and Vera Justice Kimbrough, was an employee of Springs Industries in Sardis and a member of Hollywood Baptist Church in Sledge.
Survivors include his wife Harriet T. Thompson Kimbrough of Charleston, S.C.; one son David Kimbrough of Charleston, S.C.; one step-son Timothy Wayne Russell of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; two daughters, Christina Kimbrough and Amanda Kimbrough, both of Charleston, S.C.; two step-daughters, Theresa Coon of Sardis and Tammy Ganskow of Charleston, S.C.; his mother Vera Kimbrough of Sledge; three brothers, James Kimbrough and Roy Kimbrough, both of Sardis and Herman Kimbrough of Pontotoc; eight sisters, Helen White and Nancy Whitworth, both of Republic, Mo., Jessie Faye Stringfellow of Clarksdale, Dovie Vaughn of Crenshaw, Lula Rose of Carson, Iowa, Ethelyn Stutterelle of Plano, Texas; Ruby Mae Cole and Barbara Crafton, both of Jackson; and seven grandchildren.

Johnnie Mae Kimmons, 62, formerly of Sardis, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at Methodist Healthcare University Hospital of Memphis.
Services are Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church at 12 p.m. Visitation will be tonight at N.J. Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Memphis from 4 to 7 p.m. N.J. Ford and Sons has charge.
Kimmons, born Apr. 4, 1941, to the late Fannie Mae Kimmons, was retired from Schering-Plough of Memphis.
Survivors include a companion Albert Dorsey; one daughter Barbara A. Campbell of Memphis; three sons, Terry Campbell of Charleston, S.C., Derrick Kimmons and Kevin Kimmons, both of Memphis; and 10 grandchildren.

Kincaid, born Nov. 14, 1911, to the late Scott Davis and the late Maria Reece was a retired farmer and a member of Antioch M.B. Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Riley of Courtland, Doris Myers of West Memphis, Ark. and Annie M. Anderson of Memphis; two sons, Scott Kincaid of Courtland and Jessie Kincaid Jr. of Memphis; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 20 great great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Kelly Knighton, 73, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at her residence.
