Police suspect same men robbed Batesville, Horn Lake restaurants

Batesville police working Thursday morning with District Attorney John Champion and officers of the Horn Lake Police Dept. determined that three men who are suspects in the armed robbery and shooting of a Little Caesars Pizza manager in Horn Lake are the same suspects in the Wednesday afternoon robbery of Little Caesars Pizza in Batesville.
BPD Detective Captain George Williford said three armed men entered the Little Caesars on Vick Street about 5:30 p.m. and took an as-yet-undetermined amount of cash. The men were armed with pistols and an assault-rifle-type gun. No shots were fired. Four female employees were working at the time. There was one customer in the drive-through. No injuries were reported during the Batesville robbery, according to Williford.
“There were in and out in under two minutes,” Williford said Thursday morning after reviewing surveillance video footage that recorded the robbery. The men were covered to avoid being identified from the images, but detectives were poring over footage for other clues that might lead to their identity.
Williford said investigators are also trying to pin down a vehicle description. Memphis Channel 5 reported authorities are looking for a late-model silver or pewter Chevy Impala or Malibu.
The Horn Lake robbery occurred about 8:21 p.m. Wednesday.
Champion told Channel 5 that authorities do not believe that a robbery of the O’Reilly Auto Parts in Senatobia that occurred about the same time is connected.
