Martin Brothers Scrap Metal reopens

Martin Brothers Scrap Metal reopened for business Monday, January 9 after briefly closing the operation for one week to allow for reorganization, according to a statement from a family spokesman.
“For 40 years, Martin Bros. Scrap Metal has served recycling customers in North Mississippi.
“Currently their operations include Martin Bros. locations in Sardis, Byhalia, Clarksdale and a fourth location known as DeSoto Recycling in Nesbit,” according to the statement.
“As the owners of the companies have reached different seasons of life, there has been a shift to retirement or new interests for some (family) members.
“However, Henry Martin will remain to run the company along with his son, Scott Martin,” the statement continues.
