The annual Show Off on the Square open car has been postponed due to expected thunderstorms and rain on Saturday.

Each year the car show is sponsored and put on by the MS Delta Street Rods and the City of Batesville. All proceeds are donated to the Baptist Children’s Village and other local needs. Organizers said Tuesday they are searching for another date, possibly as late as June.

The Batesville Exchange Club will not have its spring Pancake Breakfast as scheduled because of the cancellation. Anyone who has made a donation for tickets to the Pancake Breakfast may hold them until the fall event.
