Lindy Elise Ward,  16, passed away Saturday evening, Sept. 23, 2023 near Crowder. Lindy was the daughter of Jennifer and Jeremy Ward and a  junior at North Delta School.

Funeral services for Lindy will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, at First Baptist Church in Batesville. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5  to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church as well. The interment will be held at Friendship Cemetery in Como.  Mr. Michael Bates will officiate.

On March 16, 2007, Jeremy and Jennifer Braswell Ward welcomed Lindy and her twin Kaley into this world. Lindy, her sister and brothers all attend North Delta School. Lindy excelled as an athlete. She was an awesome #15 on the Lady Wave Softball team; was on the cheer team that was recently responsible for winning the Game Day State Champions 5 years in a row, and she was on the tennis team all at North Delta School.

In her spare time, Lindy liked to hang out with her friends. She enjoyed going to the lake and camping. Lindy, like many teenagers, loved to dance.

The loving family who will forever miss her sweet spirit includes her parents, Jeremy and Jennifer Braswell Ward; her twin sister, Kaley Ward; brothers, Gabe and Grady Ward all of Sardis; maternal grandparents, Patti Graham (Danny) of Senatobia and the late Rick Braswell; paternal grandparents, Steve and Wanda Ward of Senatobia; her great grandparents, Joyce Brown (Wayne) of Sardis.

Lindy was greeted in Heaven by her paternal grandfather, Rick Braswell and also by her paternal great-grandparents, Hubert and Gloria Ward.
