Eunice Truelock, 87

Eunice Nelson Holley Truelock, age 87, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Baptist DeSoto Memorial Hospital in Southaven.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 25, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment at the Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.
Eunice was born on September 21, 1934 to the late John C. Nelson and Ruby Brewer Nelson in Marks. She was currently residing in Sardis with her grandson, Dylan. She also was a faithful member at the Sardis Lake Baptist Church.
Eunice worked as factory worker at many different factories throughout her lifetime. When she was not working, she enjoyed sewing and gardening. Eunice also played bunko with her daughter, Faye, at the Sardis Lake Fire Department for many years. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
The family she leaves behind to cherish her memory include her son, Butch Holley (Mary) of Como; three daughters, Dianne Watson of Sardis, Betty Norwood of Byhalia, and Faye Barnett (Jeff) of Coldwater; one step-son, Lynn Truelock (Bonnie) of Tupelo; one sister, Anita Watkins of Springfield, MO; 8 grandchildren, Michelle Gentry, Tonya White, Henry Pullen, Shaun Davis, Niki Buckingham, Michael Ragsdale, Ashley Hartsfield, Brittany Mayo, and Dylan Holley; many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Royce Dwight Holley; her second husband, Melvin Leonard Truelock; one son, Michael Holley; one daughter, Penny Holley; one step-daughter, Lorlie Truelock; two sisters, Toy Cook and Earnestine Picton; and five brothers, Clifford Nelson, Jeany Nelson, Bobby Nelson, Charles Nelson, and Jimmy Nelson.
