James Faulkner, 80

James Faulkner, 80, passed away Monday morning, May 23, 2022 at his home in Courtland. He was the widower of Emilie Faulkner.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 26, at the New Hope Church of God in Batesville with the interment at Bethel Cemetery in Enid.
James was born on September 8, 1941 in Memphis. He served our community working as a police officer for the Batesville Police Department for 25 years. After James retired from the Police Department, he drove an 18-wheeler for many years. James was always joking around and enjoyed talking with everyone. He could sit and talk for hours, even if he had just met you. James never met a stranger.
James was a faithful member of the New Hope Church of God. He was strong in faith and loved his church family.
The family he leaves behind includes his children, Melody Faulkner of Batesville, Jimmy D. Faulkner of Courtland, Clark Faulkner (Barbara) of Grenada, Greg Faulkner (Julia) of Oakland, Keith Faulkner (Teresa) of Senatobia, and Wade Faulkner (Samantha) of Courtland; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Emilie A. Faulkner; his parents, James Lawrence Faulkner and Frances Hughes Faulkner; one son, Timothy Faulkner; and one brother, Joe Faulkner.
