Minnie Merle Dye, 96, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 27, 2022, at her home in Pope. She was the widow of Mr. Robert Dye.

Funeral services for Minnie will be held at 2  p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1,   in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Minnie was born February 1, 1925 to the late James Willie Duke and Edith Dorothy Simmons Duke in Panola County. She was a homemaker throughout her lifetime and a seamstress. Minnie enjoyed sewing, as well as crafts.

The family she leaves behind includes her children, Jean Dye Darby of Batesville, Bonnie Dye Skelton of Pope, Jimmy Dye of Harrison, AR, and Larry Dye of Pope; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, June Dye and Patty Dye Beverly; two sisters, Thelma Duke Cobern and Sarah Parnell; and one brother, Herman Marion Duke.
