Hubert Griffin, 84, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN.

Mr. Griffin was the widower of the late Dorothy Ann Griffin.

The funeral service was Monday, Jan. 25, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Interment was Tuesday at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville.

Hubert was born Jan. 24, 1936, in Memphis to the late Hubert S. Griffin, Sr. and Jane Bailey Griffin. He was a retired truck driver and was of the baptist faith. Hubert enjoyed fishing when he could, talking about the Bible and adored his great-grandchildren.

Hubert is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Griffin of Tunica, MS, Heather Purser of Whitehaven, TN; sister, Peggy Griffin of Michigan; two half-sisters, Nora Joyce Griffin of Tennessee, Pamela Wood of Florida; three great-grandchildren, Jenna Williams, Joecyln Williams and Jada Williams.

Along with his wife and parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his two grandchildren, Shelby and Jamie Purser.
