Brenda Dixon, 66

Brenda Kaye Collins Dixon,  66, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Funeral services for Brenda will be 11  a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22,  in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening  from 5  to 8  p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.

Brenda was born on Dec. 23, 1953 to the late Russell Vernard Collins, Jr. and Martha Louise Deaton Collins in Memphis. Brenda worked as an officer manager at Kizer Flooring. After retiring, she was spent most of her time volunteering and had the title of assistant benevolence director at the Grace Place.

She was very active and dedicated with the Grace Place. Brenda volunteered with the Kairos Prison Ministry and was a big part of Celebrate Recovery. She also mentored the young girls in drug court and they all thought so much of Brenda and looked up to her. Brenda also attended the Batesville Church of Christ.

Brenda dedicated her life to helping others in a time of need and struggle. She made an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family left behind to cherish her precious memory include her daughter, Ashley Hendricks of Southaven; two sons, Jon Bradley Mason of Pope, and Joe Mason of Louisville, KY; and 10 grandchildren, Riley Hendricks, Olivia Hendricks, Tristian Mason, Blaine Slay, Ashton Carpenter, Chloe Slay, Devan Mason, Noelle Mason, Wyatt Mason, and Everett Mason.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Ann Sandifer and one brother, Randall Lee Collins.
