The Panola County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Batesville Police Department, made a significant dent in local drug distribution with a raid on a residence on Morrow Rd. in Courtland on Wednesday.

Officers found marijuana, methamphetamines, paraphernalia, and more than $5,000 in cash. An adult female was arrested, but her name was not released as officers said more arrests are likely in connection with the case.

In a case deputies and investigators have worked more than two weeks, two people have been arrested and charged with burglary after a meter box and various electronics valued at approximately $5,000 was reported in the Curtis area of the county.
